The size of the Bareback pad does not have any influence on your horse/pony significantly, because it is treeless, totally flexible and do not have any pressure points.
The size of the bareback pad will be determined by the rider, rather than the size of the horse/pony.
As a rough guide:
Pony size bareback pad bareback pad suitable for riders up to size 38.
Full-size bareback pad suitable for riders with an average size of 40-and-up.
In general, a pony size bareback pad for children and small adults, and a full bareback pad is for adults only. As a rough guide, for a rider up to a pair of jeans in size 38 which is better suited for a bareback pad on the ponnystorlek. A lot of riders in a size 38 the good riding position will also be able to use a bareback pad on the pony size.
Premium PLUS is the most restrictive of the bareback pads on the basis of the knee rolles, so if you have a size 38 but you are tall, or ride in a jump mode, then you will feel more comfortable with a bareback pad in full size.
Bareback pad Basic and Iberica have a bit more space, because the seat part is not limited by knee rolls (as a Premium Plus). Bareback pad Cloud Special, will give more space and have an adjustable knee support.
